Carleigh & Michael’s Dreamy Southern Wedding at Daughter’s Barn

Less than a week before the Mills wedding, a fellow photographer shared in our local Gainesville group that she was in need of a primary photographer looking to build their portfolio. She explained that it wasn’t a paid gig, as a replacement photographer was needed for a giveaway wedding that a special couple had won in 2019. While I am beyond the portfolio-building phase of my business, I have always dreamed of blessing a couple with my services, but the timing just never worked out. I jumped at the opportunity to assist, and was excited to photograph at Daughter’s Barn just north of the FL/GA border! I was assisted by two fellow photographers: Ashley Hicks Photography & NME Photography. We had a blast working with Carleigh, Michael, their friends & family, enjoyed their home-made BBQ catering, & captured some beautiful images that they will hopefully cherish a lifetime! – Christine Plumley // CWP Photography

“After COVID had us reschedule our first day in May I was a little nervous going into it that things wouldn’t be how I imagined them, a smaller crowd, will we be wearing masks, will anyone show up?! But our day couldn’t have been anymore perfect! We’ve waited a long time to finally say I do and everyone involved made our day so special! We are so thankful to all the vendors for such a generous gift, we really couldn’t put into words how much it’s meant to us.” – Carleigh The Bride

“I don’t understand why things turned out so differently than they were presented in the beginning but I can tell you this much: when I found out that she had no planner or wedding supplies, I stepped up to the plate and gave her everything for the tables, arbor, everything. My she-shed of wedding supplies was very beneficial for her! I also directed her wedding and all of this was within 2 weeks and I made it work. I wanted to make her day special because vendors had dropped off. I guess because Covid hit and her date in May was rescheduled to September, she lost vendors.” – Wendy Hernandez // Owner of the Daughter’s Barn

From makeup artist, Lauren, who planned the entire giveaway wedding in late 2019: “It was better than I could have ever envisioned it, I’m so thankful to every selfless vendor who made it possible!” – Lauren // Makeup by Lauren
