It’s no secret that elopements have never been more popular as the world has tried to socially distance this year, especially in Coastal Georgia. With a sunset as magical as Tybee Island’s, we can see why.

From The Bride

It was important to us to have a wedding that was simple and intimate, yet adventurous. Luckily, our photographer, Katie was a huge help in assisting with ironing out every detail. We shared our vision for the day with her and she was perfect at helping us select Savannah and Tybee island as the perfect backdrop. We spent the day exploring historic downtown savannah and indulging in southern food offered at local favorite restaurants. Capturing all of the beautiful memories created that day was most important to us because COVID travel restrictions prevented our family from attending. After a beautiful sunset ceremony on Tybee island we ended the day dancing the night away to live music and enjoying each others company.

Hi there! My name is Katie Briar. I am one of the newest resident photographers on the Georgia coast. At the end of June 2020, in between weddings and quarantine, I drove from southern Arizona all the way to Savannah, in two days mind you, before hopping back on a flight to Arizona to finish out the summer wedding season. Photography has been the love of my life since my fingers were strong enough to wind up the disposable cameras you could buy at the grocery store check out line. However, my photography career as a grown up is young. “Katie Briar Photography” just celebrated its second birthday. If I’ve learned anything in life, it is that you can never have too many pictures. That’s where I come in, to help you tell your love story, to be your third wheel, to hold your dress, hype you up, and be your new best friend. People in love are my people. I can’t wait to meet you.
